Marketing solutions that are just right for your business
Running a business or leading an organisation is complex and demanding; so much of your success relies on being able to promote what you offer to the people you want to reach.
And so in the same way that you’d hire a skilled electrician or a book-keeper, working with a marketing expert makes sense, to ensure that your promotional efforts are carefully planned, delivered, and measurable.
Marketing is often something that is done out of (reactive) necessity rather than (proactive) choice, and is seen as a cost rather than an investment that yields results. But it doesn’t have to be that way – with the right approach, marketing is your secret weapon that will help your organisation or business to achieve its goals more easily.
What kind of marketing help do you need?
Strategy development
A marketing strategy sets your long-term vision - like a direction of travel. Typically looking ahead to the next 3-5 years, your marketing strategy defines your brand, your target audience, and your value proposition. A strategy includes overarching marketing goals and how these will be achieved, as well as measured.
Research and analysis are core elements of a strategy. This might include analysing the characteristics and behaviour of your existing customers, auditing your current marketing channels and activities, identifying competitors, and researching target audiences for growth.
campaign management
A comprehensive campaign plan will help ensure that you are reaching the right people, with the right message, at the right time.
The campaign plans I develop typically include details on campaign messaging and calls to action, the target audience(s) you need to reach, key performance indicators, and details of the tactics to be used (e.g. emails, advertising, PR, events, social media, etc).
These will be accompanied by detailed costings and a schedule for campaign activities.
website development
Your website is often the first contact a customer will have with your business, and investing time and effort in developing a really effective and engaging website is essential.
Project managing the creation of a new website will usually start with an analysis of how your current site is performing. The early stages of the project will include brainstorming a 'wish list' of requirements; this will eventually turn into a detailed specification for a new site. This can then be handed over to a web developer to build.
content creation
Films, blogs, infographics, podcasts, testimonials, stories, images - content is what will set you apart and get your customers to engage.
Content should always add value by offering useful information, creating an opportunity to learn something new, or purely providing entertainment.
Content can provide you with a rich seam of material that will help you to raise awareness of your business and build stronger relationships with your audiences.
social media support
Social media can help you reach a wider audience and build stronger relationships with them.
It is always a good idea to start with a social strategy that identifies the goals for each of your channels, defines your tone of voice, and outlines practicalities like frequency of posting, balance across different types of post, etc.
Once you have a strategy in place, the day to day management of your social channels will be more efficient and effective.
